Russell Benbrook of Brentwood Gates is a manufacturer of wooden lifestyle gates primarily for the owners of small block properties as well as farms and residential properties. Russell wanted a logo that he could use not only on the web but also on his printed material, like business cards letterheads leaflets and price lists.
With all these mediums in mind we decided to go for a simple design that would be effective across all the applications required. We felt it needed to compliment what Russell does so we chose colours that would reflect the woods he uses. We then went with letters, B and G. We placed the B inside the G to create an enclosed feel. The G lent itself brilliantly by leaving an opening for Russell to construct a gate!
